College and Career Education

Have a business or event that has been impacted by social distancing? We can help you explore options to seamlessly take your event online. We focus on ensuring your participants are engaged and enjoy their experience.

We worked with this nonprofit to take their event and courses online. In less than two weeks we worked with this organization to develop, coordinate, this program, marketing materials, facilitating the launch of this business.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Growing stronger together

Often times our stakeholders have everything they need to succeed, they just require the resources and support to make a strategic jump.  Building Sustainable Communities was developed to create a space to celebrate community stake holders, engage elected officials, and connect community leaders with resources to support their continued growth and success.  Workforce development agencies, community leaders, students, and various community stakeholders gathered to celebrate progress and continued success. We worked on this project for several months and the end result was truly spectacular.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

Growing stronger together

We collaborated with The National Association of Black Women in Construction and Local 58 to develop a career exploration field trip. We invited young ladies from Old Redford Academy, Cass Tech, Renaissance, The Rhonda Walker Foundation, Alternatives for Girls, and Chandler Park Academy to participate. We coordinated with IBEW local electrical union to provide a tour of the training facility, overview of curriculum, and a hands-on activity. This provided participants of varying ages exposure to the skilled trades as well as an understanding of how to apply for the school and other options to enter the trades.

YOUTH CAREER EXPOSURE

Growing stronger together

Many businesses desire to engage with the communities they serve yet may not know where to start. We supported our client by working with them to develop a career exploration program for middle school students. We developed and impletemented a career exposure program. Over the course of several weeks students were exposed to to careers in construction, skilled trades, entrepreneurship, architecture, and public service.
